December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

First day of the Cambridge Film Festival

Posted in Commercial and PR at 21:39 on 05/07/2007

Tuesday night's concert by Michael Nyman may have been the "opening night event" of this year's Cambridge Film Festival, but today was the first proper day of films. And what a day it's been...

April Mullen and Tim Doiron from Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser deserve special mention. I've met many talented and fascinating people at CFF over the last few years, but none of them have ever thrown star-jumps for me on the roof of the Picturehouse. Take a look at the trailer for their film on youtube and make sure that their world premiere sells out this weekend.

French director Bruno Dumont introduced his new film, Flanders:

Festival Director Tony Jones introduced the festival's opening night gala, Lady Chatterley:

I also had a chance to photograph some of the people who make the festival possible with their hard work, both CFF volunteers and Picturehouse staff. Here are Eva, Clare, Sammy, Bill, Fiona and Isabelle:

Finally, I'm very fond of environmental portraiture, so here's Tony in his natural habitat, the nerve centre of the festival:

There'll be more pictures appearing here as the festival progresses and I'll follow them up with a complete gallery when it's all over.
