Blog of the year
2010 has been a crazy year, so now that it's drawing to a close I thought I'd round it off with a blog post.
Th year started in style with my first overseas wedding - photographing Nallini & Samrat's wedding in India. I was joined by the always wonderful Helen Bartlett for the two day wedding ceremony in Neemrana.

On returning to England, I plunged straight back into the thick of it with the launch of Light Blue: Photo 2 at the SWPP convention. Light Blue Software is a company that I founded to design and sell business software to photographers and, alongside my thriving photography business, it's certainly kept me busy this year!
February saw the first MyVision photography workshop. Based in Brighton, 20 photographers honed their photojournalism skills on their two day assignments. I was sent to a nearby animal sanctuary.

2010 has been a fantastic year for my wedding photography business, but I somehow still found time to pack lots of other exciting projects into the year, including giving talks at Apple's flagship stores in London and New York…

…features in professional photography magazines…

…and of course the Cambridge Film Festival.

Before I get onto this year's weddings, the engagement portrait sessions that I do with so many of my wedding couples deserve a quick mention.

Which brings me neatly onto the weddings. 2010's been a great year for my wedding photography business. Based as I am in Cambridge, I always have my fair share of weddings at various colleges, starting off with Sarah & David's wedding at Pembroke College:

Lucy & Jason's wedding at Jesus College:

A crazy weekend in August found me at Magdalene College for three days in a row, starting with Hannah & Michael's wedding:

…and followed by Jing & Bingyang's wedding at Magdalene College, Cambridge:

Downing College featured heavily, with Jo & Dan's wedding followed by Helen & Jörg's wedding at Downing College:

Then, to round off our tour of Cambridge colleges, we have Elena & David's wedding at Trinity Hall and Gonville & Caius Colleges:

There's more to life and wedding photography in Cambridge and East Anglia than colleges though, including Hamish & Carrie's wedding at Great Wilbraham Hall Barn:

Jess & Simon's wedding at Longstowe Hall:

…my first visit to Barrington Hall:

…a return to the delightful Anstey Hall:

…punting on the River Cam:

…and a rainy day on Grantchester Meadows:

2010 included my first Buddhist wedding ceremony at Caroline & Steve's wedding:

…as well as plenty of sun:

…a fair amount of rain:

…my first wedding in Oxford:

I photograph a lot of weddings in London and this year's been no exception, including the delightful Marylebone Town Hall and Union Club:

…the wonderful Barbican Centre:

…and the gorgeous Syon Park:

I'm running out of time before I have to stop typing and carry on my tradition of cooking a ham for my family on Christmas Eve, and I haven't even got as far as covering all of the wonderful couples I've had the pleasure of working with this year - it's been a crazy but amazing year. So, I'm going to cut it short here, wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2011.
