I'm delighted to announce that Calumet have asked me to host a series of wedding photography seminars for them. Over the course of three weeks in October and November, I'll be touring the country and giving a one-day seminar at eight of Calumet's stores.
The course is aimed at aspiring and newly-established photographers and will fill in the important gaps left by many introductory courses. While many photography courses aim to teach you how to take great pictures, they don't tell you how to establish a successful business or deal with the workload that comes with it. What I'll be doing is using my experience of building up a business alongside another job before becoming a full-time photographer to give you a guide that can help you to do the same.
I'll be discussing ways of making a start in the wedding photography market, establishing a business that can be built up alongside another job and then making the transition to life as a full-time photographer. I'll also teach you how to set up a workflow that can be adapted as your business progresses, allowing you to keep on top of your deadlines and ensure that a growing business doesn't create problems for you.
Each seminar runs from 10:00 to 16:00. Numbers are limited by the size of each Calumet store and tickets are already selling fast so please book early to avoid missing out on tickets.
