Wedding photography seminars update
My wedding photography seminars are coming up in a couple of weeks' time, so I thought it was time for a quick update.
Hosted by Calumet, the course is aimed at people who are either thinking of becoming professional wedding photographers or those that have recently set up their business and want to know how to turn it into a full-time career. Over the course of three weeks in October and November, I'll be touring the country and giving a one-day seminar at seven of Calumet's stores.
The London and Belfast dates have nearly sold out, but there's a few tickets left for them and more available for the other dates.
The aim of the seminar is to fill in the important gaps left by many introductory courses. While many photography courses aim to teach you how to take great pictures, they don't tell you how to establish a successful business or deal with the workload that comes with it. What I'll be doing is using my experience of building up a business alongside another job before becoming a full-time photographer to give you a guide that can help you to do the same.
I'll be discussing ways of making a start in the wedding photography market, establishing a business that can be built up alongside another job and then making the transition to life as a full-time photographer. I'll also teach you how to set up a workflow that can be adapted as your business progresses, allowing you to keep on top of your deadlines and ensure that a growing business doesn't create problems for you.
Each seminar runs from 10:00 to 16:00. The seminar dates and locations are:
Tuesday 28 October: Belfast
Wednesday 29 October: Manchester
Tuesday 4 November: London (Drummond St store)
Wednesday 5 November: Nottingham
Thursday 6 November: Liverpool
Tuesday 11 November: Bristol
Thursday 13 November: Birmingham
Tickets are priced at £75 inc VAT. Follow the link on each location to buy tickets.
