December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

Updated engagement portrait photography portfolio

Posted in Portrait Photography at 08:00 on 16/03/2011

Engagement portrait sessions are available to my wedding photography clients, both as a way of celebrating your engagement and getting over any pre-wedding nerves you might have about being photographed. It's been a while since I've updated my engagement portrait portfolio, so launching a new website seemed like a great excuse to get around to uploading a new selection of portraits!

Wedding photography portfolio update

Posted in Wedding Photography at 16:28 on 11/03/2011

Thanks to everyone who's been kind enough to comment on my new website design - it's been a long time coming and I'm really pleased how well it ties in with Helen Bartlett's children's photography website.

Along with my new website design, I've got a new wedding photography portfolio. I always find putting together a new portfolio is one of the hardest jobs I have to do - every year, I photograph so many great weddings that it's always painful trying to narrow the selection down to a set of pictures that really shows off my approach to photographing weddings.

You can find my updated wedding photography portfolio here, but here's a few highlights for you:

Calumet Drummond St, London, Monday 14 March 2011

I'll be teaming up with outstanding children's portrait photographer Helen Bartlett to present an intensive one-day course covering everything you need to polish your portrait & wedding images to a standard that will delight your clients. We'll be teaching you the techniques that we use every day in our own photography businesses. The course will explore:

Setting and exceeding client expectations.

Working with repeat clients.

Taking control of your workflow.

Post-production with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Practical portrait retouching.

Producing great black & white images from digital.

Presenting finished images to your clients.

The course is suitable for both established pros and those in the process of building a photography business. Some Photoshop experience is necessary, but a catch-up session will make sure that everyone attending the course is familiar with the tools used throughout.

Everyone attending the seminar will receive a disc containing details of the techniques demonstrated, sample files and the Photoshop Actions used during the course.

The workshop is taking place at Calumet's store on Drummond St in London. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
