December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

Kate & Mark's wedding

Posted in Wedding Photography at 20:48 on 25/06/2007

The most polite euphemism for this weekend's weather would be "mixed", but Kate & Mark managed to dodge most of the showers on their wedding day. Getting married in Orwell, a small village near Cambridge, they and their guests went back to Kate & Mark's beautiful cottage and gardens for the reception.

01/07/2007 Edited to add: the complete set of pictures from Kate & Mark's wedding is now online.

Beth & Raj's engagement portrait

Posted in Portrait Photography at 19:31 on 20/06/2007

Although Beth & Raj are getting married in Northumberland, they are both Cambridge graduates so we decided to do their pre-wedding shoot here. Helen is photographing the big day with me, so she came along with me for an epic shoot that took in Downing College, the Grand Arcade building site, a playground and The Backs.

Katie & Stewart's wedding

Posted in Wedding Photography at 17:12 on 18/06/2007

Katie & Stewart got married at Hauxton church last weekend, followed by a reception at Sheene Mill, and Helen and I were there to document the day. Hauxton has become one of my favourite churches because the quality of light in there is magical, bathing the first few rows in light but leaving the rest of the church full of atmosphere.

Down by the river... (Andrea & Andrew's engagement portrait)

Posted in Portrait Photography at 21:46 on 06/06/2007

Shooting outdoors and using whatever weather you're given is often a challenge but the extremes are where you find the most exciting opportunities. Andrea and Andrew both work for the University of Cambridge so we spent a summery evening shooting their engagement portrait in the streets around some of the town centre colleges. It's an area I've used for portraits before, but the strong summer evening light changed the whole feel of the place.
