December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

Breaking Sugar: behind-the-scenes pictures

Posted in Commercial and PR at 20:27 on 30/07/2008

My summer weekends are usually spent photographing weddings, so last weekend was a bit different for me, taking behind-the-scenes pictures and publicity stills for a short film production. Breaking Sugar was shot on location in the village of Longstanton, near Cambridge.

Here are a few of my favourite pictures:

Jessica & Daniel's wedding at Little St Mary's and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge

Posted in Wedding Photography at 15:00 on 28/07/2008

Jessica & Daniel's wedding took place at two Cambridge venues that I haven't worked at before: Little St Mary's church and Sidney Sussex College. I knew Sidney Sussex fairly well from my student days, but it was a pleasure to find out that they put on a wedding just as good as their May Ball.

Here are some of my favourite pictures from the day:

Jacqui & Andy's engagement portrait session in Cambridge

Posted in Portrait Photography at 11:01 on 25/07/2008

Jacqui & Andy are getting married at the end of the year, but decided to make the most of the summer weather for a pre-wedding shoot in the sun. It was a slightly unusual shoot for me in that Jacqui & Andy brought their family along with them, so we had fun messing around on The Backs before I took Jacqui & Andy off for some couple shots.

Emily & Phil's wedding at Great Wilbraham Hall Barn

Posted in Wedding Photography at 11:04 on 18/07/2008

Emily and Phil got married at the church in Great Wilbraham before moving onto Great Wilbraham Hall Barn for their reception. It's the second time I've photographed a wedding at Great Wilbraham Hall Barn this year and it's a lovely venue - the ancient barn is very atmospheric and it's a joy to be able to capture that.

Phil is a photographer in his own right (his website can be found here) so it was a great compliment to be asked to photograph Emily & Phil's wedding. Here are a selection of my favourite images from the day.

New website

Posted in Miscellaneous at 07:21 on 16/07/2008

Today's a big day for this site, because it's had its first major redesign in a few years. Although I've always kept my site fresh with weekly blog entries and regular updates to my portfolio, my work has changed a lot over the last two years and I needed a new way of showcasing my photography.

Wedding photography is still the most important part of my business, but I've also added sections for the portrait photography I've always done alongside it and the commercial & PR photography work that I've started to take on more recently.

Please take a look around!
