December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

Oxford wedding photographer: Lowri & Ben's wedding

Posted in Wedding Photography at 13:57 on 14/07/2010

I've known Lowri since our time together at Selwyn College in Cambridge, so it was a pleasure to photograph her wedding to Ben in Oxford at the weekend.

Despite the centuries-old rivalry between Cambridge and Oxford's universities, I must admit that I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Oxford and that Lowri & Ben's wedding showed it at its best. They got married at St Giles' Church before catching a pedicab to the gorgeous Green Templeton College for their wedding reception.

More pictures will follow next week, but here's one photograph that's already caught my eye from Lowri & Ben's wedding in Oxford.

Anstey Hall Cambridge: Vicky & Hywel's wedding

Posted in Wedding Photography at 19:51 on 07/07/2010

As promised last week, here's a selection of pictures from Vicky & Hywel's wedding at Anstey Hall in Cambridge. Anstey Hall, which is located in the village of Trumpington just outside Cambridge, is a wonderful venue. Vicky & Hywel got married at St John's Church in Cambridge, then headed over to Anstey Hall for their wedding reception. Here are some of my favourite pictures from their wedding day.

Back to Anstey Hall for the wedding reception. With the sweltering weather, I don't think a big bowl of Pimms has ever looked so good:

Grantchester Meadows wedding photos - Jo & Aidan

Posted in Wedding Photography at 11:04 on 02/07/2010

As promised earlier in the week, here's a selection of pictures from Jo & Aidan's wedding on Grantchester Meadows in Cambridge. Well, I say Cambridge, but of course Grantchester Meadows are technically in the small village of Grantchester just outside Cambridge. Anyway, that's just a bit of boring geographical pedantry - let's get on to the pictures of Jo & Aidan's wedding in Cambridge!

Breakfast at York Street:

No, Aidan can't believe how much I ate, either:

Anyone would think that Jo was excited and emotional:

Some members of the Craigwood household took a less active role in the wedding:

It's all smoke and mirrors. Okay, no. It's just mirrors:

Meanwhile, on the other side of York St…

I'm sure that Aidan's American friends and family would have been disappointed if it didn't rain at an English wedding. We've got stereotypes to live up to:

When it comes to speeches, it's all about the hands:

…and then the ceilidh. I'm a big fan of ceilidhs at weddings, despite the physical danger of photographing them:

Anstey Hall wedding photographer: Vicky & Hywel

Posted in Wedding Photography at 19:54 on 01/07/2010

It's been a while since I've been to the wonderful Anstey Hall - which is located in the village of Trumpington just outside Cambridge - so it was great to be invited back there to photograph Vicky & Hywel's wedding there. Cambridge is fortunate to have so many wonderful wedding venues nearby, and Anstey Hall is definitely one of my favourites. Here's just one image that caught my eye from Vicky & Hywel's wedding at Anstey Hall - more will follow next week.
