This shot of Claire arriving at the church for her wedding ceremony is one of my favourite wedding car shots. I'll be posting more pictures from Claire & Peter's wedding next week but, for the meantime, here's one of the bride arriving at the church for her wedding.
Most of the weddings I photograph are in London or the South East, but I occasionally get asked to photograph weddings further afield. Paula & Pascal's wedding in Glasgow is the furthest I've been to photograph a wedding without leaving the UK.
We started the day in Paula's home town of Kirkintilloch, before heading into Glasgow itself for their wedding reception at Oran Mor. Dancing was a bit part of Paula & Pascal's wedding, with a ceilidh followed by some of the most enthusiastic dancing I've ever seen at a wedding from Pascal's Lebanese family & friends.
Along with the ceremony itself, the speeches are easily one of my favourite parts of the wedding day to photograph - there's a great mixture of action and reaction shots to be had, there's a whole range of emotions on display and - almost as importantly! - I've got a bit more freedom to cover it without distracting anyone.
Here's one of my favourite pictures from Paula & Pascal's wedding, taken from the best man's speech.
