December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

University of Cambridge college weddings

Cambridge (and Cambridgeshire) is full of great wedding venues, and we've got the University of Cambridge to thank for many of them. Having the university here in Cambridge, with its many beautiful (and sometimes ancient) colleges means that we've got more than our fair share of amazing wedding venues here, all with their own little features and quirks.

Take Magdalene College, for example. It's a beautiful old college with a rich history, but one of the things that makes it an interesting venue from a photographer's point of view is the complete lack of electric lightings in Hall. Yes, they really do mean it when they say "candlelit dinner" because there isn't any other lighting in there! That makes for an interesting challenge for photographers, but it produces an amazing atmosphere if you can work with it.

I'll be posting more pictures from Tracy & Dominic's wedding in the near future, but here's one of my favourite shots from their Cambridge college wedding. Candlelit, of course.
