December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer
In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

The 2008 Cambridge Film Festival continued the build up to the main programme with spectacular outdoor screenings of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey at Cambridge's Institute of Astronomy.
Unusually for me, I'm going to start at the end rather than with the build-up to the screening:
The Institute of Astronomy:
Putting on any outdoor screening requires a lot of equipment. Showing a special 70mm version of 2001 requires some very cool toys.
