December 2013 update: I'm no longer working as a photographer

In 2009, I launched a company that makes business software for photographers, and now that company is so successful that I've regretfully had to put my photography business on hold indefinitely. You can find out more about this change on my blog.

If you're looking for a photographer, I'm still in touch with many amazing photographers and would be delighted to recommend them to you if you contact me.

MV event at Apple's Regent St store in London

Posted in Seminars at 13:55 on 31/10/2011

I'm fortunate to be a member of MV, a collective of some of the best wedding and portrait photographers in the UK. The group has organised events before, including a photography workshop that I've participated in for the last two years, but these events have all been members-only. That's all about to change with MV's first public event - we'll be taking over the theatre at Apple's enormous store on Regent St in London for a day that showcases great wedding and portrait photography.

You can find out more about the event on the MV website as well as the event's Facebook page. If you're interested in great wedding and portrait photography, I hope to see you there!

The course is suitable for both established pros and those in the process of building a photography business. Some Photoshop experience is necessary, but a catch-up session will make sure that everyone attending the course is familiar with the tools used throughout.

Everyone attending the seminar will receive a disc containing details of the techniques demonstrated, sample files and the Photoshop Actions used during the course.

The workshop is taking place at Calumet's store on Drummond St in London. Lunch and refreshments are provided.

Children's photography seminar at the Apple Store, Regent Street, London

Posted in Seminars at 14:49 on 22/02/2011

The talented children's photographer Helen Bartlett will be giving a seminar on children's portrait photography at Apple's flagship Regent Street store on Monday 28th February at 7pm. Here's what Helen has to say about the talk on her blog:

I'm really excited to have been invited to speak by Apple, and the event is also in association with the Royal Photographic Society. Details of how to get to Apple's Regent Street store are available here.

The seminar will be a re-working of my talk at the SWPP from which a lot of people were turned away as the room was full, so I really hope to see you there. Do be sure to come and say hello afterwards.

Helen and I are putting on a workshop together in March. You can find out more about our post-production workshop for portrait and wedding photographers here.
