Downing College wedding photos: Jo & Dan's wedding in Cambridge

It's been a couple of years since I last photographed a wedding at Downing College, so I was delighted to be invited to photograph Jo & Dan's wedding there at the weekend.

Downing College is one of the many beautiful colleges to be found in the centre of Cambridge, sprawling across acres of the city centre. I'll post more photographs from Jo & Dan's wedding next week, but for now here's one of Dan nervously awaiting Jo that caught my eye.

It hardly seems possible for 2010 to get any busier, but August is when it goes into overdrive for me. Jing & Bingyan are getting married in Cambridge in August, but we managed to squeeze an engagement portrait session into the diary before their wedding day.

I've photographed hundreds of weddings, but there's always something new at each and every wedding that I photograph. In most cases that's down to the personalities and sometimes the venue, but Caroline & Steve's wedding was the first Buddhist ceremony that I've photographed.

They got married in a Buddhist ceremony at Taplow Court in Buckinghamshire before heading to the lovely Crown Inn in nearby Amersham for their wedding reception. Here's a selection of my favourite images from their wedding day.

Caroline & Steve's wedding in Buckinghamshire was another first for me - my first Buddhist wedding ceremony. They got married at Taplow Court, then everyone piled into vintage cars and an old Routemaster bus to their wedding reception at The Crown Inn in the local town of Amersham.

I'll post more pictures from Caroline & Steve's wedding in Amersham next week, but here's one that caught my eye. This might be the first time I've ever blogged a picture of the cutting of the cake…

Lowri & Ben's wedding at Green Templeton College, Oxford

This year is already shaping up to be my busiest so far in terms of wedding photography, but it's also turned out to my busiest in terms of friends' weddings. Lowri's wedding to Ben in Oxford is the latest, taking me all the way over from Cambridge to The Other Place.

Lowri & Ben got married at St Giles Church, right in the centre of Oxford, then took the short journey to the beautiful Green Templeton College for their wedding reception. Here's a selection of my favourite photographs from their wedding in Oxford.

I met up with Lowri in the centre of Oxford:

Life as a wedding photographer is tough. At Lowri & Ben's wedding, someone stole my seat at dinner, used my cutlery and smeared chocolate all over my napkin:
