I am a wedding photographer working in Essex, and was recently listed among the ten best wedding photographers in the UK. I use my pictures to tell stories, recording your wedding day as a photojournalist in place to capture it as events unfold.

How do my pictures tell stories? I position myself as close to the action as discretion will allow, and that gives me a vantage to make a more intimate record of your day than some wedding photographers in Essex who by instinct keep themselves at a remove.

I work quietly and tactfuly among you and your guests, making sure I'm in place to capture all of the key moments, both big and small, of your wedding.

Light and colour are the most important parts of my toolkit, which I use to make images that focus on people and their relationships.

Only very occasionally do I use flash, which I find can destroy the atmosphere of wedding photography. The natural light available is far better for reprsenting the unique feel of each wedding I shoot, wether you are married in a candlelit church or a bright modern hall.

All my photographic experience and judgement will go into getting the best record of your wedding's particular mood, and I will present you with a strong portfolio mixing black & white images (showing your wedding's timeless quality through composition and lighting) and colour (to give the day's more striking moments emphasis).

Getting the most out of your wedding pictures

After the wedding and, of course, your honeymoon, I make sure that you can get the absolute best from my work. I offer a bespoke wedding album, although sometimes clients prefer the flexibilty they can gain from a licenced set of digital files. However you prefer to receive your wedding photographs, you will benefit from the ideal mix of my professional skill and the freedom to use the images as you choose to use them.
