I am a wedding photographer working in Hertfordshire, one of the UK's top ten, according to a recent listing. I take a photojournalist's aproach to my work, shooting the images which best tell the stories of your wedding day.

How do get those images that tell stories? I stay close to the action, which gives me a vantage from where I can get a more intimate record of your day than some Hertfordshire wedding photographers who prefer to stay at a remove.

My photography focuses on people and their relationships, and it is vital for me work with tact, so my presence is unobtrusive to you and your guests, as well as to make sure I get the best pictures I can, capturing your wedding's key moments.

In the toolkit I use to make these images, light and colour are the most important components.

I tend to avoid flash, which often drains the atmosphere from wedding photographs. Natural light, however much or little there is available, is far better for me to represent a wedding's special character. In bright modern halls or candlelit churches I can always find the best light to reflect the mood of your day.

All my photographic experience and judgement will go towards getting the best pictures of your wedding, in a portfolio that mixes black & white images (to show off your wedding's timeless qualities) with colour (to underline the day's most eyecatching moments).

At the end of the wedding day, and when you return from your honeymoon, many of my clients choose a bespoke album. Some, however, prefer the flexibilty of a licenced set of digital files. Whatever you decide, the ideal mix of professional skill and the freedom in how you use the images, will ensure you get the best out of my work.
